I think i have said this before it is so important i'm willing to say it again.

Where there is addressing data entered there should be 4 seperate input boxes for this not one.

When it comes to inserting an address from vtiger into a microsoft app or whatever you could join the four fields on the fly and seperate them by a line break char or whatever.

This would make importing and exporting and the general integrity of the data so much better.

I'm sure this would not be hard to achieve or take long.

How many normal people when importing data have the address all on one field seperated by line break char so that it looks (works) as it should?

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me why this is not the case in any CRM i have ever seen! No-one seems to do ti and i dont know why.

Sugar will let you import data which has 3 seperate address lines and joins them on the fly! Nooooooo! Why!!!!!!!!

Madness.

Audiopleb,

I am a little lost on this post. I'm new to vTiger and trying to determine if it will fit our needs. What snail-mail address are you talking about? All of the snail-mail stuff I have seen has been broken out normally. Integration with MS junk is a must for us.

Thanks,

Greg Harris

The street address is stored in one field in vtiger.

Quite a lot of street addresses have up to 4 lines (excluding town, county, postcode).

If i want to take the data out of vtiger and put it into a database for doing something else with, then i have to split all the address fields. Annoying.

Also on importing the data into vtiger it only gives one address field so if i have address with 3 address lines i have to go through my file and join them all together with a line break char inbetween.

Perhaps you will never see this issue.
