I have released Beta1 of the Swedish translation of vTiger.
The files can be found here
http://vtigerforge.fosslabs.com/projects/svenska/
I have translated the following:
vTiger 5.0.2
vTiger Joomla Integrations, all Components
vTiger Office Plugin
The only parts that is not all translated in this release is the Import and Migrate sections.
more to come. Would be nice if some swedish people could help on the translation of some words.
Hope this comes in handy to people out there |

Hi! Great work!
I started going through the files and were baffled at the amounts of work that come out of those tiny ZIP files :).
I did reviewing and made a couple of changes.
All changes in wording are based on my overhearing our sales people. (Hopefully I'll convert them to vTiger :))
Anyway, changed files are from 0.6 of those packages:
com_helpdesk
com_vtigerproducts
com_vtigerregistration
com_vtigersalesorders
office-plugins
I lazily edited those files in place and this ZIP contains all other stuff of above mentioned packages as well, for anybody to have a look.
We could track my and others' changes better! How about SCM? It would enable active collaboration without risking to redo the same work twice. Also SCM gives a way to record comments and motivations for changes of wording. (Because, as usual, there isn't only one correct translation possible...) |

To install the langpack:
1. Find your vTiger installation folder and look for apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM (*) in which you find plenty of files.
2. Edit config.inc.php and change (near the end) add Svenska. It should look like this:
$languages = Array('en_us'=>'US English', 'sv_se'=>'Svenska');
3. Also copy sv_se.lang.php into the subfolders include\language (relative to * above).
4. Log out and voila - the login screen now allows choosing Svenska! Optionally you can go back to config.inc.php and make 'sv-se' your default language.
The above could be added in a future langpack release :).
By the way, I found the translation of "Dashboard". Find more translations on answers.com by editing the following URL:

I know that the translation of Dashboard is Instrumentpanel, but I don´t think that translation works in a program.
Also, some of my translation to see what you swedish people think, and some of the words I´m not sure about:
Priority = Prioiritet
Severity = Allvarlighetsgrad
Leads = Leads
Opportunity = Möjlighet (Or does we have any other better translation?)
FAQ = FAQ (Or should we translate this one?)
Quotes = Offerter
Sales Order = Säljorder
Purschase Order = Köporder
RSS = Nyhetsflöde
Quick create = Snabbskapande (sounds a bit funny)
Dashboard =
Picklist editor = (haven´t found a good translation yet)
Custom field = Skräddarsytt fält (or?)
GL Account = Reskontra
Ticker Symbol = (What is this?)
We also need a field for Organisation number.
I´m thinking of opening up a swedish translation page where we can discuss and also set some rules on what things should be called.
Also I have found some errors in my translation. I´m fixing this now, and will be releasing a new translation in a near future. |
