Hi
Some of our contacts have already a big list of history and note items. If the user scrolls down to a certain entry he loses the tabs and submenus because they are scrolled up too. I don't find this usefull.
A solution is to stick the Tab menu to the top position and let only the other stuff scrolling.
This is what I did for the "Aqua" theme. Attached are the three files with the changes. Copy them into the folder include/themes/Aqua/ to give them a try. I tested it with firefox and IE 6.
Please try it out and give a feedback whether you find it usefull. If enough users find that usefull, the Vtiger Team may reincorporate it.
 Regards Fredy
(If there is a good demand, I'll do the changes for all themes and give it back) |

Fredy thankyou so much for this. I use vtiger every day, and this helps a lot.
I really appreciate it: great work.

very nice work, it really helps to keep the overview!
When scrolling the clock gets on top of the menue bars. How can you hide the clock like the other content? |

Hi
We (our apprentice boy Armando Lüscher) and me have just improved this feature. We found out that the theme "Aqua" is much slower than for example "blue". Thus we implemented the feature as well for the theme blue.
The new implementation uses JavaScript to determine the available screen size. New is also that the footer area is fixed too.
In order to install the new feature, copy the index.php into the root directory of your Vtiger installation. The rest goes to the respective folders.
Aware that the world clock and the calculator is disabled by default. To enable them, remove the comment tags ("<!--" and "-->") in the file header.html at line 170 and 203 and also the "--" around the word "WORLD_CLOCK" and "CALC" at line 183 and 200.
BTW: The problem with the clock and calculator which has scrolled over the tab menu seems to be solved with this improvement too.
Please give it a try and let me know whether its working in your environment too and whether its helpfull.
regards Fredy |

Hi Fredy,
I tried your second fix, and it looks really nice, but in the "blue" theme, when I add a task to a lead, the task fields are not shown (only the save and abort buttons are there), so I cannot enter a task anymore.
Greetings, Sebastian |

I tried to reproduce your problem with IE 6 and Firefox 1.0.4. But it works fine here. Which Browser are you using? And on which version of Vtiger?

Hi,
thanks for trying to reproduce the problem.
I am using Konqueror 3.4.0 and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2 under Kubuntu Linux. Vtiger Version is 4.0.1. Without the fix, adding tasks to leads works.
Greetings,

hi
I like the work you've done. Any ideas, why I can't scroll with the wheel mouse in firefox?
Regards
