Office plug-in delimiter message, shuts down! AArrgghh!

Hi, just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem? I installed the office plug in to MS Word 2002. I am testing vtiger 5.0.2. The plug-in said it connected to vtiger and I was able to put fields into a document.

I then uploaded the newly-created merge document to vtiger Mail Merge Templates as per the instruction manual and made it available in the contact section. I have tried to merge a contact, but when I do, Word gives me a popup box entitled Header Record Delimiters asking me to choose the field delimiter (tab) (enter) or (none) and the Record Delimiter (Enter) or (tab).

When I make a choice and press OK, it either shuts down work or asks me to save Normal.dot!

Other than that, things are pretty good here in the frozen North. Anyway have some suggestions???? Please advise,

Hello it's me again. A workmate discovered that if the Account Name is populated in the contact section (where I placed the merge document), the merge will work! No account name, no merged document??? Screwy huh? Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction,
