Hi,

Desperately need assistance configuring a current form to add data to vtiger leads via the web forms plugin.

Form has the following:
7 text fields
3 list/menu fields
1 radio button fields
1 textarea field

Fields are:
satluation
firstname
lastname
email
phone
lane (street)
city
sate
code (postcode)
Interest
Reason
description (message)

Problems (other than lack of documentation) are:
1) Configuation of list/menu and radio button fields
2) Adding new fields to script
3) Adding new field identifiers to form

Any detailed assistance on how this can be done will be very much apreciated.

This is now critically urgent and I'm willing to pay anyone for information about how to configure web forms.

Any assistance would be very welcome.

The additional information that you have posted in this forum post and your trouble ticket are out-of-scope of the User Manual. For adding additional custom fields and modifying the layout of the Web form you have to modify both vtiger CRM and Web Forms code base.

Thank you for your post and explanation. The user manual you mention is of course of no use in answering our questions.

However, at least we now know why we were unable to get any meaningful information on how to configure the form fields from vtiger support.

The misunderstanding is entirely mine. I mistakenly thought that by subscribing to the paid support service, we would be entitled to get answers to any support questions. I had no idea that some support requests would be deemed to be an additional revenue service, over and above the paid support service which we have already subscribed to.

I am now no wiser, but far better informed.

Nithya/Gopal, please ensure that we make this distinction very clear in the mails that we send the customers. I know that we have made it clear but we have to make it clearer still.

We also need to state this difference prominently in the website as well.

We must not confuse people into buying our support. It only conveys a bad image.

The PDF manual is not really helpful. I did everything uploaded the webforms in my Joomla directory modified the config.php file but what are the next steps??

Is there a better manual available?
