Posted this on the 3rd-party plugins area first - duplicating here
My employer is willing to post a $1000 bounty for production of a vTiger CRM Plug-in that allows full synchronization with Lotus Notes. The successful plugin will meet the following requirements:
vTiger Notes Plugin Specification v0.1 - 2007/01/19
Required Functions
Support for Lotus Notes 6.5.x and 7.x
Support for vTiger CRM 5.0.2 or above
Synchronize vTiger Contacts with Notes Local Address Book with a specified Notes Contact "Category" of "vTiger Contacts". All major fields must sync.
Synchronize vTiger Leads with Notes Local Address Book with a specified Notes Contact "Category" of "vTiger Leads". All major fields must sync.
Synchronize vTiger Events with Notes Calendar with a specified Notes Calendar "Category" of "vTiger Call" or "vTiger Meeting". Both Call and Meeting type may be synchronized to Notes Appointment OR Meeting; all major fields must sync, and if using the Notes Meeting format, invitees must be synchronized as well. "Reminders" must enable Notes "Notify Me".
Synchronize vTiger ToDo items with the Notes ToDo List with the specified Notes ToDo "Category" of "vTiger". All major fields must sync.
The Plugin MUST BE platform neutral, independent of platform for Notes Client, Domino Server, and vTiger Host.
The Plugin must also be Open-Source with a vTiger-compatible license, and be provided with documentation of installation and use.
Desired Functions - not Required, but highly recommended.
Use the Notes File Attachment point to include a full XML-based description of the vTiger record, allowing the record to be re-created in vTiger if lost or transferred, without loss of ANY information not normally synchronized to a Notes field.
Integrated Authentication with Notes - use of single-sign-on and password synchronization, with Notes Password taking priority.
Options
Ideally, the plugin should be LotusScript or Java and run within the Lotus Notes client via automatic agent, menu selection, or button.
We are not interested in reading incoming mail through vTiger. However, someone else may be. This is left to the discretion of the programmer.
Mail sent through vTiger should be copied to the "Sent" folder of the Notes User's Mailbox. This may not possible without changes to the template.
Definitions
For the purpose of this specification, "Major field" is defined as any field that has an easily identifiable analogue in both vTiger and Notes.
Further information and Changes to Spec
Updates to this Specification, status, and change requests should be posted to this thread. The provider of the first plugin that meets this specification as published at time of receipt to the satisfaction of my employer will be paid the $1000 USD bounty. |
