Hi bharath,
sorry to say but there is an error message coming up.
i use the GERMAN Thunderbird build 2007060411 and have downloaded the .xpi tb plugin from your site.
Going to Extras > Addons > Install and choosing that xpi causes the error "Sorry, no valid installation package -207" (my translation, could be different in the real english version)
i have tried different setups, ALWAYS get this message
Best Regards |

Pimok,
this could be happen for instance if your download of the thunderbird extension failed. I experienced it many times when using the firefox browser. (download seemed to be ok but it was not) I would suggest you try to download this extention with the IE browser. vtiger should offer a download as ZIP file to avoid these issues. |

ahaaaaa,
now i have downloaded the xpi from sourceforge
http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/vtigercrm/vtigercrm-tbird-plugin-5.0.3.xpi
and that one works.
Donīt ask me what went wrong here, but it works now, that counts. thanks for your reply anyway. |

Balduin,
you are damn right,
now i have treid to get the firefox plugin and even though the download should start from KENT no download started, choosing a different mirror (Switch) still wants to get it from the KENT University.
Forcing a restart of firefox then says the download from switch is okay, but the above described error message comes up (same as with the tbird plug)
So i think it is really necessary that this information about download problems should be included on the downloads page
http://www.vtiger.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=57
using ie just because of this is really a pain, so the zip alternative i like much better. as you have very good connection to the vtiger team, maybe you could inform them about this?
Greetings from Cologne |

downloading the firefox toolbar (should be 115 kb) ends up without any errormessage but only 25 kb size.
Same with the webforms , should be 115 kb ends up with only 25 kb , even using different mirrors.
Using IE gets it with 152 kb and installation is no problem. So thanks balduin for this information, hopefully everyone gets to know this. |
