Dear Team,
Keeping in view of the heavy spam posts during holiday season we are temporarily blocking guest posts. Once we have some additional anti-spam protection in place, we will consider guest posts in future so that genuine users shouldn't get affected.
Need your kind cooperation.

Hi Brian,
In addition to restricting guest posts, we have also made our user registration process through email validation. Hence there is a drop in spam posts :D

I am glad to see something has been done. As I have stated before, it does not take that log to log in and guest posts should be shut off for good.
I have deployed this and it has cut down on my spam bots.

FYI, I am a long-time PHPbb admin, and far and away the best mod to prevent spammers from registering is this one:

I also had a heck of a time finding a link to your registration page. Did you remove the link to avoid spam? |
