Just installed 4.2.4.rc2 on XP.
Login and this is at the bottom of the page:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in C:\Program Files\vtigerCRM4.2.4rc2\apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM\include\database\PearDatabase.php on line 440
I've followed this thread and looked around. I still don't see a viable solution or am I (certainly I am) missing something??? |

Is there a reason you are trying to install 4.2.4-rc2 instead of 4.2.4?
My guess is that your installation was incomplete and not all the database tables were created.
If you did an upgrade then you may be able to fix your problem following these instructions: http://forums.vtiger.com/viewtopic.php?p=24995#24995
Another common issue with 4.2.4 can be solved via http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/1281
If none of that works please follow the instructions here: http://forums.vtiger.com/viewtopic.php?p=24734#24734 to help us debug your issue. |

Again I wanted to thank you for your help.
Your suggestions were good ones and nice to have a record of it.
I took Richie's advice and installed 5.0.2 which creates some fear for me, but after spending a few days with the code, I think it's going to be ok.
I think...I hope.
Anyway, you're appreciated. |
