I think, if Quote, SalesOrder and Invoice have custom fields with identical names, must data from this field into a new document be inserted automatically.

For Example I have in Quote, SalesOrder and Invoice a custom field and this field have identical name (and resembles meaning!).
If a create a new Invoice from a existing SalesOrder will be data from this SalesOrder custom field field into Invoice custom field of new Invoice inserted automatically.
